Shillong, September 28, 2004: The Deputy Speaker, Meghalaya Assembly Mr. P. W. Muktieh, who is also the Chairman of the District Planning and Development Council (DC&DC) Ri Bhoi District on September 28, convened the DP&DC to scrutinize the plan schemes of different departments for the year 2004-2005 in need of approval for submission to the Government. Among the members present were Mr. S. W. Rymbai, MLA, Mr, G. B. Syiem, MDC and Mr. F. Mawphlang MDC. The Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, Mr W.L. Lyngdoh presided over the meeting.

In the meeting the officers of different departments appraised him about their proposed plan schemes as well as other ongoing schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman while lauding the officers for their active participation and cooperation, he also urged upon them to carry out their work with dedication. HE further stressed upon timely implementation of various schemes so as to bring about forward and accelerated development of the District.
