Press Release No 233/04 COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS TO USE ONLY COMMERCIAL LPG CYLINDERS Shillong, March 31, 2004: The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills, Shillong has issued an order instructing all commercial establishments to use only commercial 19kg non-subsidized LPG cylinders which are available with all LPG dealers. This was done following reports that most commercial establishments such as restaurants, hotels, welding shops etc are using domestic LPG cylinders of 14.2 kg capacity, instead of the commercial one, inspite of previous warnings. In case of non-supply by any dealer, the same should be brought to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills, Shillong, for necessary action. Non-compliance with the above instruction by any of the commercial establishment will be dealt with according to the law. |

Press Release No 234/04 CHIEF SECRETARY TO VISIT BAGHMARA Shillong, March 31, 2004: In view of the Lok Sabha Polls slated for April 20, 2004 the Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya will visit Baghmara, South Garo Hills District on April 8, 2004 to review Election preparedness in the District. According to the official circular of the Deputy Commissioner, South Garo Hills, Mr T Dkhar, the Chief Secretary will be accompanied by the Principal Secretary, DGP, CEO, Commissioner of Division and Secretary (PWD). The circular also stated the Chief Secretary will call on the District officials on the same say at the Baghmara Circuit house. |
