Shillong, June 11, 2004: The District Administration of West Khasi Hills District has made elaborate preparation to receive the Honorable Union Minister of Tribal Affairs and DONER, Mr P R Kyndiah on his visit to Nongstoin on Monday June 14, 2004.

A felicitation programme is scheduled to be held at Madan New Nongsotin in which the People Representatives of the District, Syiems and Government Officials will address the function slated at 1:00 PM. The programme will also include cultural programmes and specials items from the local schools of Nongstoin.

The Deputy Commissioner has cordially invited the general and government officials alike to attend the function.

Shillong, June 11, 2004: The final match of the volley ball tournament organised by the Mawkyrwat Subdivision Offices Welfare Association was held on June10^th, 2004 at the office premises of SDO (Civil), in which Sarin defeated Mawkyrwang in the final. The Meghalaya Home Guard and Civil Defence Minister, Mr B. B. Nongsiej was the Chief Guest on the occasion and distributed the prize to the winner.
